Yamaha Banshee Quad Or Kawasaki Kx250f Dirtbike?!?!?
Alright i need everyones help and experience here! i have a 2005 yamaha banshee 2-stroke, all stock. i don 't know what its worth, but i bought it 2-3 years ago for $3500. no damage runs really great. i have recently put new rings on it, probably about 15-20 hours. well anyway i put the quad on craigslist and there 's this guy that wants to trade me his 2006 kawasaki kx250f four-stroke. i use to have a bike but switched to a quad. use to have as in a kawasaki klx125 when i was 13. pretty much no power for the sand. i am 18 now. my family has dirt bikes. like as in my cousins, and im the only one with a quad. i have no clue what to do!?! his bike has black moose rims, fmf mega bomb header(not full pipe), graphics, 4 hours on the engine rebuild and 4 hours on the suspension as well. done professionally pretty sure. he said some shop with a name. oh and has an hour on the new tires. i didn 't know if four strokes were less reliable after a rebuild or not? are they? i also don 't know what to do cause i "ve never been to the dunes and don 't know if it 'd be hard to ride in the sand with a bike? but i heard paddles on dirt bikes do a great deal in sand. i guess its nothing a little practice couldn 't handle..right? i mainly ride in our local river bottom which is sand and some dirt with my quad. i don 't know what to do cause i have know clue whats mine worth and if its a fair trade. the bike looks great though. we also have a kawasaki dealer here and our yamaha and suzuki dealer just closed down. please help, thank you so much!! just give me any ideas, comments, or statements you have. thanks!! also put into factor banshees are legends. i like them but not the 2-stroke factor cause of mixing all the gas. i hate that. lots of maintenance. are kawasaki 's good bikes? 2006 Yamaha Banshee Tuning?
Hey everyone i own a 2006 yamaha banshee stoke pipes stoke everything i only installed a racing k &n air filter to improve its performance and improve throttle response but now my speed dropped a lot when i switch to 5th or 6th gear specially, a lot of the rpm 's drop on full throttle on a high gear my friend told me to get the carbs cleaned inside filters clean basically service them oil change and all adjust the air intakes like get it tuned now he mentioned that the reed valve might be damaged since that the pressure drops a lot causing my speed to reach only 100 km/ h (62 mp/ h) when it should reach 120! (75 mp/ h) so please help guys thanks appreciate it. tell me what to do till i get my mods thinking to install v force reed valves if it turns out that my valves are damaged is that okay like wont it harm my engine i care a lot about the engine 's health i want it too last for a long time by the way i mix it 36:1 and have no problems use to mix a 25:1 according to the owners manual but it was a smoke machine and the plugs get oil burnt in like a week thanks again. Yamaha Raptor Or Yamaha Banshee?
I 'm 17 and 150 pounds. i have a little experience on quads and dirtbikes, but i want a quad it 's between the raptor and banshee. which would be better for me? i would use it to ride in the mountain trails and praires, also to ride it on paved and gravel roads. i would buy it used. which would you think is better for me?what size?would i have to put mixed gas in both?thanks! 4 Wheeler, Yamaha Banshee Popping Out Of Exhaust?
I have a 2003 yamaha banshee 350 twin 2 stroke. it sat for about a year and wanted to ride it. it wouldnt start. so i checked spark and there was nothing. i fixed that problem and it still wouldnt start. i squirted alittle eather in it (which i hate doing with a 2 stroke) and it fired up and was idling. i brought the rpms up to get some temp in it and it would be popping out of the exhaust. the it just shut off. i tried starting again and not. i shot alittle more eather and started up again. idled fine, brought the rpms up popping, then let it idle, after about 30 seconds i can hear it starting to die so i gave it some throttle it came up then it started popping again and then died. i took the carbs apart cleaned them and put them back on and it is doing the same thing. the plugs are new because i changed them when i first tried to start it up. any input on what to check or anything would be helpful. this is a 2003 banshee with low hours on it and it is completely stock, no modifications.
